New Ofcom-related blog
A hearty cyber-welcome to the latest addition to the Ofcom-watching blogosphere: the Babe and Adult Channel Viewers Association. Their mission statement:
The Babe and Adult Channel Viewers Association (BACVA) has been set up to monitor Ofcom’s treatment and dealings with Sky Digital’s adult programming – specifically the live babeshows situated in the adult section of the EPG (Electronic Programme Guide). Our view is that Ofcom’s attitude to these channels is unfair, unjust, and borne out of a simple dislike of their existence, and after delving deep into Ofcom’s rulings and regulations regarding such shows, we feel that not only is their treatment unfair, but quite possibily illegal.
I’ve accidentally skipped past one or two of these channels whilst searching for BBC Parliament. They seem like innocent fun.

Oh bless. Whilst I agree in part with their sentiments, they really should improve there understanding of the legal background to the codes and to the boradcasters ‘choice’ to be licenced by Ofcom.
“they really should improve there understanding of the legal background to the codes and to the boradcasters ‘choice’ to be licenced by Ofcom.”
Can you expand on the ‘choice’ issue Scott?
Do the ‘Babe Channels’ have a choice on Ofcom licensing and regulation?
Well I for one am pleased that these channels do not seem to appear within the regular programme guide. I don’t object to their existance but do think that efforts should be made to mask the content from children.
bunch of fuckin gangsters
