LSE: Ofcom’s Ed Richards to speak 21 Nov - public invited

Ofcom CEO Ed Richards will be speaking and answering the public’s questions tomorrow. Details:

Where: London School of Economics, Hong Kong Theatre

When: 21 Nov - 18:30

Host: POLIS at LSE

Unfortunately, I am in the warm sunny South of the USA so I cannot attend. Folks, if you do attend, here are some good questions to ask Mr. Richards:

– What is your level of confidence that Ofcom’s advertising rules for Junk Food products will remain unaltered by the government?

– Did someone from Ofcom edit Tony Blair’s Feral Beast speech and is that appropriate for an independent regulator?

– Is having 4 to 6 High Def channels on Freeview enough? Should not all TV be High Def?

– Have you ever tested your internet connection speed at your home and if so … what did the test reveal?

Have fun, people…

Bloody academics organising an interesting speech on the same night as England’s most important football match in years! No chance I’ll be watching the king of doublespeak Richards talk tonight…

To follow John’s comment - does anyone know who won the Ed Richards vs. LSE game last night?

his speech isn’t on the Ofcom site yet - sometimes the LSE do put a transcript up but looks like not for this one.

    anyone go?
