Upcoming Media and Communications Policy Events

Hey folks, in the immortal words of Jim Anchower, it’s been a long time since I rapped at ya…

If you are planning your autumn schedule, I just wanted to highlight some of the upcoming events we have listed down on our sidebar:

19-20 Sept (London) - Mobile Content World. The keynote speaker will be Chuck D of Public Enemy [insert ‘911 is a joke’ quip here]. I’ll be traveling and have to miss this one.

20-21 Sept (Brussels) - Unlocking the Digital Dividend. From our good friends at PolicyTracker. Great line-up and timely information on what’s going to happen to the spectrum released from the digital switchover.

26-28 Sept (London) - Carriers World 2006. Come see me speak! I will talk about the BT settlement with Ofcom and the subsequent creation of Openreach. James Enck is speaking later that same day, so get your double-dose of old school Tennessee wisdom.

23-24 Oct (London) - Building China’s Communications and Information Future. It’s run by Chatham House, so you know it will be swanky. This looks like a must-attend event if you are following China’s rise in this sector.

We’re also working on a few fun things around here at OfcomWatch, so stay tuned…
