TVWF / AMS Directive - new media company problems?
I recently wrote that, after a recent meeting with Ofcom:
The challenge for Ofcom and DCMS is direct engagement with those parties that
may be adversely affected by the EC’s proposals. To the best of their knowledge,
Ofcom said that they had not been approached by a single entity with a problem
with a particular provision of the new media rules contained within the AMS
Directive.
I should correct that statement - Ofcom has not been approached by a single new media company that has a particular problem with the new media rules. I’m sure Ofcom has been approached by numerous entities (including me) that have a problem with the new media rules in general. The challenge is for an entity to step forward and say ‘this new proposal affects me’ and show everyone the negative impact.
