DCMS - How does it assess Ofcom’s effectiveness?
Ever wanted to know how the Government assesses Ofcom’s performance in protecting citizens and consumers? If so Lib Dem Shadow Spokesman on Media, Culture and Sport, Don Foster has tabled a key question.
I suspect the department will answer by saying it reads Ofcom’s self-produced Annual Report - this is apparently where accountability lies in these days of independence (or is it interdependence?). However, we’ll keep our eyes peeled for the answer.
