Lord Currie - celebrity regulator?
Someone asked me to also check on Lord Currie, saying they thought he had faded into obscurity since Ofcom was formed. Judge for yourself:
Currie appears in 47 articles since January 1, 2004. Recall Carter = 173 articles…
(And I did search ‘David Currie’ as well as ‘Lord Currie’. It’s actually 48 articles because The Guardian mistakenly called him Lord Curry in September ~ I think Luke spotted that already…)

David Currie’s moment of stardom was 2003 - particularly before Carter was appointed. Actually as a serious academic economist, Currie’s done a good job fading into the background…
