* Any users of the beta-version of Google’s gmail out there? We’d love to hear from you. Gmail seems to be getting a significant amount of bad press, but it seems like a winning idea to me.
* Video games continue their ascent. The latest: 3/4ths of Nielsen households with a male aged 8-34 have a video game system (of course, I only use my PS2 to watch DVDs ~ Russ). Any gaming experts at Ofcom?
* Another poorly-presented research report on the telecom industry was released. This one, in particular, purportedly “predicts that worldwide telecommunications industry services revenue will grow from $1.2 billion in 2004 to $1.8 billion in 2009.” Huh? Do they mean ‘trillion’?
* Chris Tryhorn of the MediaGuardian spots the obvious trend: fragmentation of the traditional broadcast television audience in the multichannel environment. This is also happening in the U.S., according to reports.
