New Report on U.S. Broadband Penetration
The folks at the Pew Internet & American Life Project keep churning-out great work. Today, they released an updated report on U.S. broadband penetration. Among the findings:
* 68 million Americans (55% of all U.S. adult internet users) have broadband at work or home. 48 million Americans have broadband at home (a 60% increase since March 2003).
* DSL penetration has doubled since March 2003. (In the U.S., home broadband options are typically either DSL or cable modem. DSL is now 42% of the market).
* Broadband prices are remaining stable or slightly dropping.
