Missed Gem From Scotland’s Sunday Herald : (Sorry)

Feel really bad about missing this one from the Sunday Herald last weekend. You can get so blinkered in the London media smog. A lesson learned perhaps.

Anyway…this is (was) a great round-up of the issues and challenges in merging five regulators to one whilst maintaining representation for the nations - well - Scotland. It also points out the clear dangers in further delays to the passage of the Communications Bill. In addition it highlights the plight of staff at the current regulators who have had an uncertain time for nigh on three years.

Particular apologies for missing this article go out to Lindsay Stirton - a real life Scotsman who occassionally drops us a line here. He once said that he and his friends used to get very irrate when ‘regional/national’ programming was broadcast in place of all the good stuff that those the other side of the border were watching. Not so much ‘represented’ as ‘missing out’.
